Fall Bass Classic Results

Seven Coves Bass Club celebrated its 16th year of the Fall Bass Classic charity tournament, October 7th, 2023, on Lake Conroe. Hosted by Stow-A-Way Marina, the annual tournament again benefited the Kids Unlimited Foundation. Kids Unlimited (kidsunlimited.org) was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to benefit children stricken with cancer. This organization as founded with the hope to provide children a reprise from cancer and an opportunity to be free of the harsh treatment regimen. Through these efforts, Kids Unlimited joins over 250 families together for consistent family-oriented activities.

Lake Conroe has produced some big limits, but the cold front late Friday would shut down the bite was be the question. However, even though the wind played havoc for some anglers, it did not affect some. This year we had 66 angler team entries, which allowed us to pay 6-places, and first and second big bass awards.

We are working on the final numbers, but we are certain that the event was a great success. We will present the final check at the annual Kids Unlimited “Kid Fish” event at Fayette County lake, held on October 28th, with many kids and families present.

Result Highlights:

First Place was the team of Randy Gunter & Julian Clepper with their 5-fish limit of 17.42 pounds and was awarded the guaranteed payout of $2,500. They also had the 2nd Big Bass for the day with 5.82 pounds and were awarded with Ark Rods.

Second place was the team of Ronnie Wagner & John Stevenson with their 5-fish limit of 15.81 pounds and was awarded a check for $862.

1st Place Big Bass went to Bo Brown & Brian Jones with their nice 6.45 pound bass with a guaranteed award of $1,000!
